О! Так он и художник. Тогда, скорее всего, это он сам и нарисовал для нас вид Петропавловской гавани, Ситху с "Тринкомалями" ... и "Монарх" в Авачинской бухте, который рисунок не напечатали.
HAVERFIELD, John Tunstall, artist. Bideford c.1840. Born: Great Torrington, son of a commander in the Royal Navy (died 1839). Died: 8 Feb 1885, Westbourne Terrace, London. A capable amateur artist and a naval officer. He was posted to 'Constance' from the Plymouth marine headquarters in 1848 and was the second in command of the Royal Marines during its voyage to Vancouver Island in 1848, having been promoted to first lieutenant. Several of his sketches of the action around Fort Victoria are now in the archives of British Columbia. He continued in service after the voyage, retiring in 1868 as a major on full pay.
